Improving Moral Standard
What an ironic cartoon it is! A young man casts not a single sidelong glance toward the standing old man and the pupil near him, and still sitting and reading the guide book on morality and manner in an affected way. Apparently, this picture reveals a serious phenomenon in society – the lack of morality, especially in the younger generation.
Ever since two decades ago, the economy of our country is booming all the way, people’s sense of morality, however, seems to be withering. Some people, in particular, are not short of education on social manners, but are still never put what they are taught into practice. “I’m a reasonable person already, and that is not my business.” They might think like this. As a matter of fact, their behaviors are also lack of sense of morality.
The answer is definite. The most affective way to improve people’s moral standard, in my opinion, is to involve them into social promoting activities. For young people, they ought to be led into constructive activities and help them form the habit of offering aids to others. For adults, more models should be set by the mass media as a competent citizen in modern society, one of whose responsibilities should be having a warm heart toward others. Only in this way can the overall morality of our society be improved.

Reverence to Relics Means Respect to Ourselves
Shot from a long range, a heart-breaking scene is witnessed by the photographer of this picture: a pair of friends are sitting right on the edge of an aging traditional tower, which is among the state protected relics. The two young people are too engaged in their chat to realize that both the lives of the tower and themselves are in peril. The picture attempts to remind us of the spreading existence of the behaviors of this kind.
As the inherits of an ancient culture with more than four thousand years, we Chinese people all take pride in the glorious history of our nation, most of which are visualized by ancient buildings, remnants, scenic spots and those left discernable. They serve as the massagers of history for the generations to come. “History, like a mirror, grants us the reflection of our current being and future”, points a philosopher. In second thoughts, if we don’t take what history brings us seriously, we would likely to be among those missing people, whether they are lost in daily lives or determine to stand out among others.
Relics, especially historical buildings and sceneries, are the symbols of what we should commemorate, namely, the national spirit. Some of them, such as the tower in the picture, are best examples of the intelligence and perseverance of our ancestors; some others, however, are standing there like sentinels witnessing the bitterness and dark time of our nation. A person who disregards his/her past would never be a responsible one, likewise, those who are unconcern about history won’t be a respectful person as well. In conclusion, self-esteem and sense of responsibility is the key to eradicate the silly behaviors in the picture, to which the best solution is education and self-respect. [292 words]

New Fashion in Language Communication
As is described in the picture. a Chinese man is saying “Hello” to a yang foreign woman, who says “nihao” instead.（特别提示：必须加上一句自己想象出来的描写句。不然的话，已知的条件太少，对于首段尾得出评述句很不利。After this greeting, the two persons gladly smile at each other, as they know they may succeed in the verbal communication in either English or Chinese.） This primarily minors the phenomenon in the modern society—a new fashion in language communication.
In the modern society, with the development of economy and culture, more and more communication is need, and the language becomes an important tool in daily life.
For instance, when you want to trade with a foreigner you will find more convenient in the business, if you know the foreign language. And you will get the larger profit than these who don't know any foreign language. Or the science is developing in a high speed. Supposing you have mastered two or three other language, you can gain kinds of knowledge from different countries, which will bring your science a lot of benefit. Hence more and more people are participating in the learning of foreign language. And you can see people using foreign language in their daily life anywhere and anytime.
To sum up, the world is a whole organism, which needs different culture and develop at the same pace. All this require us learn from each other and use it to develop ourselves. So the new phenomenon described in the picture reflects the development of our world. And maybe it is an advance not only in the culture, but also in the science, even more for the happiness and farewell whole human beings.
